About This Role

The Teacher is accountable for establishing a collaborative teaching team, overseeing the curriculum, and managing the daily operational tasks of the classroom. A thorough understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development is essential to ensure a secure and engaging learning environment where children are actively involved and encouraged to excel. The Teacher must possess exceptional communication skills to cater to the needs of both children and adults, effectively guide teacher assistants, and address parental concerns in a professional manner.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement educational curriculum by creating engaging classroom activities aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
• Empower the teaching team through modeling and coaching, demonstrating a commitment to their success.
• Design and lead individual and group activities tailored to the age and developmental needs of the children, fostering social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
• Maintain open and regular communication with parents, including informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure a safe, healthy, and clean classroom environment, prioritizing the well-being and safety of the children.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, forms, and files.
• Develop and implement a personal professional development plan to consistently enhance teaching quality.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 years of professional child care experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High energy and ability to work effectively with others (staff, children, and parents) and foster a collaborative team environment.
• A deep understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Must clear a comprehensive background check and pass a health screening.
• Requires the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at various levels. May also involve kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling.
