Staff Electrical Engineer

Stryker's Instruments division seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to independently design and develop electrical components and subsystems for medical devices. The role involves advanced circuit testing, prototyping, and problem-solving within R&D, working across multiple project streams in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical components and subsystems for medical devices independently
- Develop and implement advanced circuit and electrical system test methods
- Conduct advanced prototyping, testing, and design validation activities
- Analyze complex design issues and implement solutions using independent judgment
- Collaborate with Product Development, Production, and Contract Manufacturers across multiple project streams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- 4+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Proficiency with schematic and PCB layout tools (Allegro, OrCAD, Gerbers, or equivalent)
- Ability to interpret datasheets and edit technical documentation
- Experience with PLC design for input/output modules and sensors (preferred)
- Mentoring capability and self-directed problem-solving approach (preferred)
Compensation: $89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual
