Staff Engineer, Electrical

Stryker Medical seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of complex electronic hardware systems for emergency medical services devices. The role spans concept through commercialization, requiring collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, high-quality medical products.

Responsibilities

• Translate clinical and user needs into design specifications and hardware solutions
• Design embedded systems using microcontrollers, analog/digital circuits, and power management
• Lead PCB design and layout activities ensuring signal, power, and thermal integrity
• Perform hardware verification, testing, debugging, and root cause investigations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product lifecycle from concept to launch

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• 4+ years of electrical hardware design and product development experience
• Proficiency with electrical design tools for schematic capture and circuit analysis
• Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, components, and system-level design
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems
• Medical device design controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance knowledge
• PCB design, layout, board bring-up, and hardware debugging experience

Compensation: $89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual
