This role is a learning role, where new associates are developing skills with their team for progression to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required. Job Responsibilities Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while delivering a world-class experience and fostering loyalty by: Helping customers pick up where they left off in their shopping journey (online, Customer Care, or in-store). Exploring individual needs and providing hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology. Side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions beyond devices and service plans, including accessories and IoT devices. Approaching service and sales with composure, integrity, and compassion. Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to demonstrate: How coverage stacks up in the customer’s neighborhood and provide information about the LTE network. Why T-Mobile plans and services help customers stay connected and go further. Training on in-store experience, new skills and processes, knowledge of systems, and reference resources. Maximize time on shift by learning about wireless innovations between customers. Establish relationships and partner with T-Mobile employees across channels to: Own the customer experience and resolve issues to create a seamless environment. Identify and hand off small business leads. Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment. Education High School Diploma/GED (Required) Work Experience 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred (Required) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Passionate customer advocate with the desire to be yourself when connecting with customers and having fun doing it (Required) Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required) Willingness to work with peers and store leaders, learn and share ideas, while serving customers and resolving issues Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals (Required) Must be fluent in English and Spanish Licenses and Certifications Education and Licenses At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Additional Details Travel: Travel Required (Yes/No): No DOT Regulated: DOT Regulated Position (Yes/No): No Safety Sensitive Position (Yes/No): No Compensation Hourly Base Pay: $21.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days, on-the-job training is provided and training pay is eligible. After promotion to Mobile Expert, eligible for an annual incentive target of $18,000/year (incentives vary by performance and full-time status). All employees are guaranteed to earn $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives, and all employees are eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
