Industry Transportation/Trucking/Railroad Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a VP of Operations with a strong background in logistics and supply chain management to lead the scaling of its network across North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for M&A integration, operational consolidation, and the end-to-end management of vendor relationships in an asset-light, fully outsourced model. This role demands a hands-on approach, with a focus on aggressively managing costs, integrating new companies, and deploying advanced AI and logistics technology to create a world-class, automated infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executive leadership, expertise in 3PL and heavy LTL freight, and a tech-forward mindset. Applicants for the VP of Operations role at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree and have at least 8 years' of experience in supply chain and logistics, with a minimum of 3 years' in a senior executive position. A strong background in M&A, a builder mindset, and a willingness to travel are essential. The role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of LTL freight, commercial knowledge of freight structures, and experience in cost optimization at scale. A tech-savvy individual with a genuine interest in modern technology and AI/ML tools for supply chain automation is highly valued. While not mandatory, an MBA or advanced degree is preferred, and experience in fast-moving sectors such as food and beverage or consumer packaged goods is a plus.
