Accounting Advisory Manager

Education & Certifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline required
• Finance or Accounting Designation Required:
• CFA
• CPA
• Or equivalent professional designation

Experience

• 10–15 years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities

Financial Advisory & Technical Accounting

• Provides advice in highly complex audit matters.
• Participates in large-scale business projects typically within an area of expertise.
• Makes decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues.
• Exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity to interpret policy in the absence of formal guidelines or precedents.

Leadership & Team Development

• Supervise and provide direction and training to other staff.
• Develop financial models and provide guidance to team members.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Major Projects

• Provide finance and accounting support for potential acquisitions and/or ongoing major projects.
• Review data room materials.
• Identify potential financial accounting issues.
• Assess financial reporting impact of issues under various acceptable statutory accounting practices (e.g., US GAAP).
• Review financial models to ensure:
• Appropriate presentation of accounting treatment.
• Accuracy of financial models.

Financial Research & Reporting

• Assist the Energy Accounting, Pipeline Accounting, and Financial Reporting groups.
• Perform financial research and analysis for special projects.
• Conduct financial statement reviews.
