Parts Manager

Parts Manager - Lakeville, MN Company: Schmitty & Sons Location: Lakeville, Minnesota Schmitty & Sons is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Manager to join our team at our Lakeville location. This role is essential to keeping our fleet operating efficiently by managing parts inventory and supporting maintenance operations. Responsibilities Order, receive, and manage parts inventory for: School buses Coach buses Mini vans Other fleet vehicles Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels Work closely with maintenance staff to identify parts needs Source parts from vendors and negotiate pricing when appropriate Track orders and ensure timely delivery Organize and maintain a clean and efficient parts room Assist with other operational tasks as needed Additional Duties Support transportation operations during driver shortages or peak times Qualifications Previous experience in parts management, inventory control, or automotive/heavy-duty parts preferred Knowledge of bus or commercial vehicle parts is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems Valid driver's license required Ability to obtain a CDL with school bus and passenger endorsement (or already have one) What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Employee-Ownership Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, etc.) Stable, year-round employment Opportunity to be part of a growing transportation company SCHMITTY & SONS
