$58.1k - $66.2kFeeding Tampa Bay
Description Reports to: Chief Experience Officer Department: Experience Classification: Mostly Onsite Core Hours: 8:00a - 4:00p Status: Full-time, Exempt Salary Range: $58,100 - $66,200 COMPANY OVERVIEW Feeding Tampa Bay serves ten counties in West Central Florida and we are a leader in hunger relief across our region. Just last year, we served 85M meals to our neighbors through direct service and through our network of 400+ food pantry partners. But we know food alone won’t solve hunger – that’s why we’re redefining that it means to feed our region. By creating pathways to possibilities for nearly 1 million people, Feeding Tampa Bay connects and convenes solutions, partners and resources that nourish long-term stability. As a member of the Feeding America Network, we will work to dismantle barriers for individuals, families, and seniors across our area – because it’s possible. At Feeding Tampa Bay, we are on a united path to transform our community. We thoughtfully drive change while embracing and celebrating our collective impact, as well as the impact of each individual. Through our Grow Code we strive to honor all, conquer together, be imaginists, speak with truth, and stay rooted in the mission of Feeding Tampa Bay. SUMMARY Help shape the spaces where Feeding Tampa Bay's vision of flourishing communities, today and for generations to come, comes to life. We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Interior & Commercial Design Manager to bring our physical environment to life — designing functional, beautifully branded spaces that create an engaging experience for the staff, volunteers, donors, and community members who walk through our doors every day. This role will work closely with our Chief Experience Officer to align our facilities with FTB's culture, personality, and brand — then lead the execution: interior design, room flow, visual identity, vendor sourcing, custom signage, and commissioned artwork that brings our brand to life across offices, community hubs, and warehouse spaces. If you want design work that's both creatively rich and mission-driven, this role was built for you! DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Design & Branding Develop cohesive design concepts, mood boards, and space layouts that optimize traffic flow, room functionality, and atmosphere Integrate FTB’s brand identity into physical spaces through custom signage, color palettes, and architectural branding elements Partner with Marketing & Communications to ensure environments, graphics, and visual storytelling align with FTB’s brand guidelines and campaigns Identify, negotiate with, and manage artists to commission custom art pieces, murals, and installations tailored to our spaces Project & Vendor Management Source, order, and track furniture, fixtures, finishes, and decorative elements while managing vendor relationships Manage contract deliverables, long-lead procurement schedules, and on-site contractor logistics to hit project deadlines Oversee installation, styling, and final punch-list items to ensure design concepts are executed accurately and on schedule Budget & Compliance Build, track, and manage capital project budgets, including value engineering and negotiating trade discounts within nonprofit fiscal constraints Apply working knowledge of commercial building codes, ADA accessibility guidelines, life safety regulations, and permitting processes for interior alterations Select durable, easily cleanable, commercial-grade finishes suited to high-traffic spaces with heavy volunteer and warehouse activity Stakeholder Engagement Present design concepts and project updates to executive leadership (C-Suite), the Board of Directors, donor committees, and community advisory groups Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Excel working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and demonstrate the ability to embrace the FTB’s commitment to treat all people with equity and respect in pursuit of our mission to feed people in need and mobilize our community to eliminate hunger 3+ years of hands‑on experience in commercial interior design, interior architecture, workplace design, or environmental graphic design. Ability to present visual concepts confidently to various audiences, and collaborate seamlessly with internal Marketing/Communications teams. Experience using space planning software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) and visual representation tools (Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Strong existing network of commercial furniture vendors, sign fabricators, contractors, and regional artists (or a demonstrated ability to source and vet partners efficiently). A strong portfolio demonstrating past work in spatial transformations, environmental branding, commercial layout design. Exceptional project management capabilities, sharp eye for aesthetic details, clear communication style, and a collaborative spirit suited for a fast-paced non-profit environment. Requires a strong on‑site presence at Feeding Tampa Bay facilities to conduct spatial assessments, oversee installations, and manage contractor teams. Work is performed across a variety of settings, including standard corporate office areas, active community hub spaces, public-facing event venues, and busy warehouse or staging environments. Frequent exposure to active installation sites, which may involve noise, dust, paint fumes, and moving machinery or vendor traffic. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods during space planning, site measurements, and installation staging. Ability to frequently lift, move, and position objects weighing up to 30–50 lbs (e.g., furniture samples, material swatches, signage components, decorative items, and light fixtures). Comfortable using basic hand tools (measuring tapes, levels, drills) for quick mockups, spatial verifications, or minor styling adjustments. Ability to travel locally between FTB facilities, vendor showrooms, print shops, and artist studios across the Tampa Bay area. All internal candidates must be in good standing with no corrective actions within the last 90 days. At Feeding Tampa Bay, we believe eliminating hunger requires people-focused solutions that dismantle barriers and disrupt systems — prevention, not just intervention. We extend that same people-focused philosophy to our own team: our comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, a 403(b) retirement plan, a monthly cell phone allowance, and more. We're committed to supporting our team both on and off the job as they help build the systems-level change our mission requires. #J-18808-Ljbffr
