Overview
Registered Nurse, PCU travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA starting 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay $2,120-$2,185 per week with 48 guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Days. Employment Type: Travel - Temporary Assignment in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. This role covers care across ICU, Step Down, Med Surg, Day Stay, PACU, and ER units.

Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care for patients across ICU, Step Down, Med Surg, Day Stay, PACU, and ER.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice.
- Administer medications, IV therapy (including blood products), and manage indwelling catheters and drains; ensure safe use of unit equipment.
- Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage life-threatening emergencies; advise on monitoring needs based on patient presentation.
- Care for patients after coronary interventions requiring femoral sheath removal and post-procedure care for patients with pacemakers.
- Adhere to chain-of-command policy and document clearly to support continuity of care.

Requirements
- Current RN license in state of practice; active and in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required; certifications must be current or obtained within defined policy timelines
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required or enrolled if applicable
- Minimum: at least two years of recent RN experience in the field; one year ICU or Step-Down/Progressive Care, High-Risk Labor and Delivery, or ER experience in the last 5 years
- Epic experience required; Cerner experience within the last 5 years
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-unit acute care environment across assigned units
