Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Registered Nurse – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

Shifts include days, nights, and weekends. On-call may be required for up to 100 hours per four-week schedule. Must be available to work three of the five listed holidays.

Contract length: 13 weeks.

Minimum of 1 year RN experience, preferably in PACU or ICU.

Compact state nursing license must be in hand at submission.

Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS.

Experience with patient ratios of 1:2.

Previous charge experience preferred.

Experience with airway assessment, extubation, and ventilated patient care.

Experience with IV drips, blood product administration, and pain management.

Provide postoperative care to patients in Phase I and Phase II recovery.

Monitor and manage airway and ventilation, including extubation and assessment.

Manage arterial and central lines, and monitor hemodynamics.

Administer blood products and manage IV medications and PCA pumps.

Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias, ensuring effective cardiac monitoring.

Support patients in pain management and recovery from various surgical procedures.

Onboarding includes a 20-hour orientation. Parking details will be provided. Must have vehicle for assignment.
