Senior Cost Accountant Key Responsibilities:

Manage job costing and project accounting for complex manufacturing programs
Perform percentage-of-completion revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
Analyze work-in-process (WIP), labor utilization, project costs, and manufacturing variances
Partner with operations to monitor project budgets, profitability, and financial performance
Review financial statements and ensure accurate reporting of manufacturing and project activity
Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve cost reporting

Qualifications of the Senior Cost Accountant:

5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in manufacturing cost accounting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Experience with job costing, project accounting, or job-shop manufacturing
Hands-on experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and ASC 606 strongly preferred
Solid understanding of financial statements, GAAP, and manufacturing accounting principles
Background in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or custom manufacturing preferred
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with finance and operations teams
