You'll be using advanced technology and electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment plans effectively, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through detailed interviews, documenting client cases from the first consultation to treatment completion.
\n
• Evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients to inform treatment decisions.
\n
• Design customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic methods to support client growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create integrated treatment strategies.
\n
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients’ medical providers for those who are hospitalized or receiving other forms of care.

• Proactively address and mitigate behaviors that may hinder a client’s recovery journey.
\n
• Provide support and education to family members and primary caregivers, helping them understand how to navigate mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele includes a diverse range of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, with preference given to experience with AVATAR.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in a therapeutic context.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with a compassionate approach to client care.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, with an emphasis on working with a variety of mental health issues.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
\n
• Understanding of the effects of medications commonly prescribed by healthcare providers and their implications for counseling.
\n
• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, and substance use disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
