Job Description Per Diem Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse provides expert nursing care to patients undergoing complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. As part of a multidisciplinary teaching environment, the Cath Lab RN supports clinical excellence, fellow education, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence‑based practice while delivering safe and compassionate patient care. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, PCI, Structural Heart/TAVR and peripheral vascular procedures Function in circulator, monitor and scrub roles across multiple Cath Lab Suites Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and patient condition during procedures Administer medications including moderate sedation and emergencies per protocol Assist attending physicians and fellows during diagnostic, interventional, PCI, structural heart, and complex interventional cases Respond promptly to emergencies, including arrhythmias and cardiac arrestli> Anticipate procedural needs in a high acuity, fast‑paced program Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention standards Perform post‑procedure recovery care, including sheath removal and hemostasis management Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR Participate in on‑call rotation for emergent cases Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards Qualifications Required Current RN license Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) Minimum of [2] years of experience in Critical Care, ICU, ER, or Cath Lab BLS and ACLS certification Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to function effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment Preferred Prior Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Cardiology experience Moderate sedation certification Experience with STEMI and emergency cardiac procedures RCIS or CCRN certification (or willingness to obtain) Team Member Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Coverage (22.5 hours per week or above for full‑time and part‑time team members) Life & AD&D Insurance Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability (with options to supplement) 403(b) Retirement Plan: Employer match, additional non‑elective contribution PTO & Paid Sick Leave Tuition Assistance, Advancement & Academic Advising Parental, Adoption, Surrogacy Leave Backup and On‑Site Childcare Well‑Being Rewards Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Fertility Benefits, Healthy Pregnancy Program Flexible Spending & Commuter Accounts Pet, Home & Auto, Identity Theft and Legal Insurance
