Business Analyst Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
• Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders.
• Expertise in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
• Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Work closely with development team explaining business requirements and help creating high level design document.
• Expertise in creating integration test cases and perform user acceptance testing.
• Provide functionality demo to business, end users and training teams.
• Provide system support (as required) by doing system troubleshooting and analysis.
• Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

Qualification/Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good to have: SQL skills

Contract and Compensation Details:

• Long term Contract position opportunity.
• Initial Contract for 3 months and extended based on performance review.
• Industry standard compensation based on Greater St Louis job market.
