Disaster Recovery Analyst/Business Analyst

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Disaster Recovery Analyst/Business Analyst to join their team! This position is located in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

Core Responsibilities

• Develops and plans testing activities for IT business resumption plans, including on-site testing at disaster recovery site
• Conduct Business Impact Analysis on applications and business functions
• Identify and analyze the gaps in current disaster recovery plans utilizing a risk management framework
• Develop relationships between dependent parties to narrow the disaster recovery gaps, Infrastructure, application (business and technical) and operations
• Perform risk analysis to identify points of vulnerability and recommend disaster avoidance and reduction and makes recommendations regarding critical points of failure and plan weakness
• Participate in Proof of Concept/Technology projects as a Subject Matter Expert for Disaster Recovery
• Advise architecture and IT teams on efficiencies when designing disaster recovery solutions
• Facilitate small to large size group meetings for technical design, problem solving, and task implementation

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 3+ years of Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity
• Strong understanding of a wide variety of IT functions and technologies
• Ability to effectively work independently and in team environments
• Understanding of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery best practices
• Experience with Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) and IT Ticketing and Digital Management Workflow tools
• Understanding of Change Management practices, processes, and utilization

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Knowledge of communications, cable television and/or Internet provider industry
• DRII/BCI related DR/BC certification with CBCP preferred
• Use of Fusion Framework BC/DR management tool or similar product
• Understanding of project management practices and procedures
• Use of Cherwell CMDB and IT Workflow ticketing system

Work Environment

• Location: Maryland Heights, Missouri
• 4 days onsite

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $85,000 - $95,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
