Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse located in the area. This opportunity involves working a night shift in a neurology-focused telemetry unit requiring specific experience with the NIH Stroke Scale and mental health assessments. The position offers a chance to support a designated stroke unit within a Level II trauma center, providing specialized care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 10/19/2026 and ending 01/18/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license preferred), at least 1 year of relevant neuro or telemetry experience, proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), certifications in ACLS and BLS, experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and pre/post neurosurgery care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for neurology and neuroscience patients, familiarity with electronic medical records (Epic), knowledge of stroke protocols and JCAHO designations.
• Additional Information: Clinical experience in neuro step-down units, trauma level II experience, and familiarity with special procedures such as procedural sedation and spinal cord injury management are preferred. Candidates must be able to float between units, work holiday rotations as specified, and meet unit needs. References covering 1 year of recent clinical experience are required.
