About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Engagement to lead a strategic, integrated approach to audience engagement and brand strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and stewarding the company's brand strategy, positioning, voice, and identity, and for creating a clear and compelling narrative that resonates with the community. This role involves leading strategies to grow visibility, cultivate audience loyalty, and strengthen relationships across various platforms. The VP of Engagement will also be tasked with building and strengthening strategic partnerships with a range of community entities, and developing collaborative initiatives that expand the company's visibility and impact. Applicants for the Vice President of Engagement position at the company should have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with an advanced degree being a plus. A minimum of 10 years' experience in brand strategy, marketing, communications, partnership development, or a related field is required, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading brand development, integrated marketing, and engagement strategies, and be adept at using research, analytics, and performance data to guide decisions. Experience in public media, broadcasting, journalism, or a mission-driven nonprofit organization is preferred. The role demands a strategic thinker and relationship builder who is passionate about the role of public media in creating an informed and engaged community.
