\nLocation: Long Island City, Queens, NY
\n \nPosition Summary:
\nWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the company’s payroll operations for approximately 700 employees, including a large union workforce. This position will manage a team of three and be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and proper administration of union payroll requirements.
\n \nQualifications:
\n- \n
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, with payroll management or supervisory experience. \n
- Significant experience with union payroll required. \n
- Construction industry payroll experience strongly preferred. \n
- Experience managing and developing payroll staff. \n
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, wage and hour regulations, and payroll compliance. \n
- Experience with Sage 300 or CMiC preferred but not required. \n
- Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll reporting and reconciliations. \n
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. \n
- Ability to manage confidential information and meet strict payroll deadlines. \n
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills. \n
