Technical Sales Engineer

We are recruiting a Technical Sales Engineer to develop business across the South Central U.S. and support select customers globally. This is a remote, field-based opportunity for someone who can combine technical problem-solving with consultative sales and relationship development.

Candidates should live near a major airport in a South Central state.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop new accounts and expand relationships with existing industrial customers.
• Work with plant engineers, project teams, operations leaders, and procurement professionals to identify equipment and material requirements.
• Manage opportunities from initial technical discussion through proposal, negotiation, and close.
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams on customer-specific solutions.
• Build territory strategies and identify opportunities within chemical processing and other demanding industrial markets.
• Travel throughout North America with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Successful experience in technical sales, sales engineering, business development, account management, or territory sales.
• Knowledge of chemical processing, nitric acid production, or other corrosive-process environments is highly valued.
• Familiarity with high-performance alloys, alloy metals, corrosion-resistant materials, or custom metal fabrication.
• Exposure to heat exchangers, pressure vessels, catalyst baskets, or other capital equipment used in high-temperature applications.
• Demonstrated consultative and solution-selling ability with technical customers.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Technical education is helpful but not required; relevant industry experience can substitute.
