Payroll Assistant

As an employer, we seek to provide an environment of growth and development for our employees that is consistent with recognizing the rights, needs, and wants of all people.Purpose:To provide clerical support to the Payroll Department and Sunrise administrative offices with all daily Payroll related matters.Qualifications:Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug ScreeningsMust possess a High School Diploma (Associate’s degree in Finance preferred)Must possess at least one year of general Payroll experienceMust possess strong computer skillsEssential Functions:Acts as liaison between operations and NHQ in regards to all Payroll related issues and concernsOrganizes and maintains employee payroll records as required by company proceduresProcesses and balances payroll batches in the Time Management System, to ensure accuracyMaintains listing and filing system of all stale checksResponsible for sending out correspondence to terminated employees and maintain back up documentation and filing systemProcesses reissuing of checks when necessaryResponsible for maintaining listing of active garnishmentsResponsible for responding to local state agencies regarding garnishmentsPerforms all other duties as assignedThis position will remain open until filled.
