BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job TitlePlans, executes, and drives the sales activity for the assigned channel across all brands in division. Targets and manages daily activities, in OEM's, system integrators, distributors, alternate channels, contractors, specifiers and end-users to ensure efficient and productive performance to move the business forward. Improves market share, and supports all assigned marketing campaigns for sales organization. Manages daily sales activities, including independent sales reps to ensure efficient and productive performance to gain market share by assuring the full utilization of all assigned sales resourcesEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesConstituent Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective constituents in the electrical industry.Technical Expertise: Gain a deep understanding of our technical products and effectively communicate their benefits and applications to new and existing constituents.Sales Strategy: Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve conversion targets and drive demand creation.Project Management: Oversee all phases of conversions from initial interest through to conversion, ensuring product satisfaction and all requirements are met.Presentations & Demonstrations: Conduct comprehensive technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to constituents needs.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Product Development, Marketing, and Customer Service, to ensure cohesive support of conversion initiatives.Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.CRM Proficiency: Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to track constituents interactions, sales activities, and statuses.Networking: Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build a robust network and stay current with industry developments.Key Measurements:Lead Conversion Rate: Track the percentage of leads converted into salesConversion Cycle Length: Measure the average time taken to close a conversion from initial contact.Pipeline Value: Monitor the total value of opportunities in the conversion pipeline.New Customer Acquisition Rate: Measure the number of new customers acquired within a specific period.Market Penetration: Track increase in market share within target segments.Brand Awareness: Monitor metrics related to brand visibility and recognition in the market.Required Skills:Strong ability to understand and articulate technical product knowledgeExceptional skills in Technical Presentations and CommunicationExtensive knowledge of the Electrical IndustryProficient in identifying and meeting Constituent RequirementsStrong Project Management capabilitiesExcellent Critical Problem-Solving skillsProficient in Customer Relationship Management toolsStrong Analytical Thinking abilitiesEffective Cross-Functional Collaboration skillsCompetent in Demand Creation Sales ModelsHighly skilled in NetworkingPreferred Skills:Experience in a remote work environmentAdditional certifications in Project Management or SalesFamiliarity with emerging trends in the electrical industryAdvanced proficiency in analytical tools and softwareTraining and Development:Ongoing professional development opportunitiesAccess to industry-specific training and resourcesTravel Requirements:Periodic travel may be required for constituent's meetings, industry events, and trade showsTravel frequency will be based on constituent's' response and needsTechnical Skills:Proficiency in CRM software solutionsProficiency or willingness to learn configuration toolsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPointSalary Range:Competitive salary commensurate with proven experienceAttractive self-managed performance-based incentiveCompany Culture:At Robroy, we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work environment.
