About This Role
We are seeking a Toddler Teacher who will foster a stimulating and nurturing environment for children aged 2–3 years old. The ideal candidate will design engaging daily routines and activities that cater to the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of the children. Their patience, enthusiasm, and dedication will be instrumental in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.
What You'll DoResponsibilities
- Plan and implement weekly curriculum and age-appropriate learning activities
- Serve meals and snacks while promoting healthy eating habits
- Monitor children’s behavior and development and communicate with parents regarding progress and daily activities
- Promote positive social interactions, sharing, and emotional development
- Encourage learning through play, music, art, sensory activities, story time, and outdoor play
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Take children outside daily for walks, playground time, and outdoor learning activities when weather permits
- Lift and carry children and classroom items up to 40 pounds
- Assist children with potty training, diaper changing, handwashing, and other personal care needs
- Supervise and care for toddlers ages 2–3 years old in a safe and nurturing environment
- Follow all childcare licensing regulations and center policies
- Perform other duties and assigned tasks as requested by the Center Director
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass required background checks
- Patient, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for working with young children and supporting early childhood development
- Experience working with toddlers preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day
