Radiation Therapist - Loves Park, Illinois

Deliver exceptional patient care as a key member of a busy radiation oncology clinic, providing high-quality treatment services using advanced Varian Ede/Aria technology. In this contract position, you will play a crucial role in the daily execution of radiation therapy for a high-volume cancer center, working both independently and efficiently with a multidisciplinary team.


Qualifications & Experience:

• ARRT and IEMA radiation therapy certification required
• Proficient with Varian Ede/Aria systems
• Prior experience in mid- to large-size hospital or cancer center environments strongly preferred
• Ability to deliver effective care amid a high patient volume (64-68 patients daily) with two active treatment units
• Strong multitasking and independent problem-solving abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer precise radiation treatments according to individualized plans developed by radiation oncologists
• Operate Varian Ede/Aria units, ensuring accurate treatment delivery and patient safety
• Independently manage a busy daily schedule while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
• Communicate regularly with patients, explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to facilitate seamless clinic operations
• Maintain meticulous documentation and adhere to regulatory compliance and safety protocols
• Adjust to workflow variations and adapt efficiently to clinic needs, including holiday schedule adjustments
