SurgCenter of Silver Spring is looking for a Part Time Front Desk/Scheduler
At SurgCenter of Silver Spring, we believe health and care are inseparable. We focus on offering a high-quality, service-oriented environment for your surgical procedure. Our technology allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, and General Surgery.
The Front Desk/Scheduler will be responsible for:
- Answering phones and greeting patients and visitors.
- Schedule surgeries and coordinate schedules between the surgery center and physician offices.
- Gathers all detailed information for the patient's chart, such as type of procedure, supplies, special equipment required, insurance information, etc. Enters all patient information in the computer system.
- Confers with OR Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, and/or Administrator to determine status of scheduled surgeries. Alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Cross-trained to fill in and effectively perform all other job descriptions

Salary Range: $22.70 to $27.80 (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.)
Required Skills:
- Education: High School education and/or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of related experience. Training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail
