- Work closely with Land Acquisition, Land Development, Finance, Division leadership, title companies, escrow officers, consultants, outside counsel, and other internal teams to keep matters moving efficiently.
- Prepare and submit internal approval packages and supporting documentation for legal, financial, and investment committee review in accordance with company requirements.

- Maintain organized electronic files, correspondence, approvals, and document repositories, and support continuous improvement of templates and legal workflows.
- Identify issues, risks, and next steps early, and escalate appropriately to attorneys and business leaders.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegal and administrative staff on transaction processes, due diligence standards, and closing requirements.
- Support special projects and other legal and operational initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
- 10+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, with substantial experience in real estate transactions, land acquisition, title, development, homebuilding, commercial real estate, or a similar transactional practice.
- Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys, easements, entity documents, due diligence materials, and closing documentation.
- Experience in homebuilding, residential development, title, land banking, or in-house real estate legal support is preferred.
- Experience with HOA/CC&R documents, easements, development-related agreements, and internal approval processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with legal matter management or contract tracking systems (e.g., Legal Tracker) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal fluency in English and the ability to work effectively across legal and business teams.
- Impeccable organizational, time management, attention to detail, and proofreading skills.
- Self-starter with a practical, solution-oriented approach and the ability to independently resolve inquiries and issues with skill and judgment while collaborating closely with attorneys and division real estate acquisition and development teams.
- Ability to balance multiple projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
