Staff Applied Scientist

Leading research and development initiatives, the full-time remote Staff Applied Scientist will focus on enhancing AI/ML models for replenishment technology, addressing complex challenges in perishable inventory control and reducing food waste. Key responsibilities Set technical direction for core replenishment R&D, defining the modeling roadmap across demand forecasting and inventory optimization Model complex inventory-related problems and implement solutions for multi-stage and multi-echelon inventory optimization Drive changes from research through production by writing rigorously tested and scalable code Required qualifications MS or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field 8+ years of industry experience for MS holders; 4+ years for PhD holders Experience in systems supporting large-scale decision-making under uncertainty Prior knowledge in inventory optimization, supply chain management, or stochastic optimization is a plus Ability to deliver high-quality software implementations in the Python data stack
