Field Auto Appraiser - Rhode Island

Job Description As a Field Auto Appraiser, you’ll be at the forefront of our claims process—meeting customers where they are, whether it’s at their home, a repair shop, or a tow yard. You will take the lead in writing estimates and guiding customers through the repair or total loss process using a mix of in‑person visits, virtual inspections, and written communication. This role is fast‑paced and hands‑on, requiring strong technical knowledge and customer‑service skills. Responsibilities Lead estimate creation and manage repair or total loss decisions. Conduct in‑person visits, virtual inspections, and written communication with customers. Investigate casualty claims and interpret policy coverage. Communicate with customers, vendors, third‑party carriers, and claimants to negotiate settlements. Document claims accurately in the claims system and maintain timely records. Utilize estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve complex claims. Preferred Qualifications 3–5 years of auto collision estimating experience using CCC or Mitchell. High School Diploma or GED. Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to write precise estimates. Comfortable using technology and various platforms for claims processing. Excellent time‑management and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel. Location This position is field‑based in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Company Car Eligible employees may receive a company car subject to mileage guidelines; otherwise a mileage reimbursement will be provided for personal vehicle use. Training Completion of a two‑week in‑person training at our Dallas, TX office is required. Licensing Obtain an adjuster’s license in required markets and an appraiser’s license in RI within 60 days of hire. Maintain all required licenses and complete continuing education as needed. Compensation $60,000.00 – $117,700.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Sign‑on bonus of up to $5,000 may be awarded to qualified candidates upon acceptance.
