Associate Director of Sales

In this role, you'll partner closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the sales strategy for multiple properties, playing a key leadership role in positioning the hotels across group, corporate, and convention segments while fostering strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

• Achieving the financial objectives of the properties in their managed areas for market segments actively being worked.
• Leading, coaching, and inspiring a high-performing Sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals across group, business travel, and catering segments.
• Driving new business through strategic prospecting, relationship-building, and active participation in industry events and trade shows.
• Managing and growing a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring consistent, high-quality service and long-term partnerships.
• Partnering closely with Events, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to deliver seamless execution and aligned strategies.
• Associate Director of Sales plays a crucial role in the property's group sales efforts, focusing on specific group business while managing a dedicated team of group sales associates.
• Developing and managing group sales revenue and operation budgets and providing forecast reports.
• Supporting the Director of Sales with forecasting, goal setting, and performance monitoring.
• Responding to incoming group/catering opportunities within pre-defined peak room parameters and designated market segments.
• Managing the hotel's key accounts, nurturing long-term partnerships and uncovering new opportunities.
• Proactively identifying and pursuing new business through prospecting, networking, and attending industry events.
• Collaborating with the marketing team to develop campaigns and client-facing materials.
• Achieving or exceeding group sales revenue goals through effective selling and upselling techniques.
• Supervising and mentoring sales team members, ensuring individual and team targets are met.
• Assisting the DOSM in leading regular sales meetings and providing coaching to enhance productivity and engagement.
• Analyzing booking pace, conversion ratios, and market penetration to inform decision-making.
• Ensuring accurate and timely input of information into sales systems.
• Maintaining complete knowledge of and complying with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
• Providing effective written communication to the hotel operations team regarding onsite groups and events.

Qualification standards include:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry, the Associate Director of Sales may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Hotel, including but not limited to weekends and holidays.

Salary range: $115,000-$125,000 + Incentive Program
