Its employees consistently rank Moss as one of the best places to work.This full-time position will work under the Preconstruction Chief to help manage assigned Trade Responsibilities, including reviewing and assembling estimates and analyzing trade scope sheets.Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform accurate quantity survey of Materials, Skin Study & GSF using On Screen Take Off/BluebeamFrom Concept Drawings and above, ability to "Fill in the Gaps" for missing information from drawings (Limited Trades)Assemble accurate estimates (Multiple Trades) from quantity survey: Units and Cost per UnitReview Drawings for missing information and write RFI's for submittal to Architects & Engineers, by TradeFrom Trade Contractors' proposal, develop bid tab sheets for multiple trades to ensure accurate scopeDevelop comprehensive qualifications and assumptions from bid tabs of Trade ContractorsProvide Cost Savings suggestions by Trade - limited tradesEducation And Work ExperienceGraduate from College/University; 4-Year BS Degree in related fieldMinimum of Four (4) Years' previous work experience in Estimating or equivalent field experienceKnowledge of Trade Specific Scope Responsibilities & Unit Pricing - Multiple TradesAbility to successfully self-manage work assigned with very little directionDetailed knowledge of Trade Specific Scope without having specific information on Design DocumentsAbility to read specifications with understanding of subject matter; Multiple TradesAbility to perform accurate quantity survey using "On Screen Take-off"/BluebeamAbility to read, interpret & understand plans proficiently: Conceptual Drawings - 100% CDsAbility to assemble estimates (Multiple Trades), providing takeoff & unit pricing on multiple projects Working knowledge of constructability details and ability to recognize cost saving opportunities (Multiple Trades)Possess analytical skillsAbility to utilize Microsoft Office, Excel & WordProfessional and attentive characterAbility to communicate well, both verbally & writtenJob Location: Allen, TXClassification: Full Time – Exempt – SalariedReports To: Preconstruction ChiefMoss is an equal opportunity employer.
