Central Valley Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. This full-time position, based remotely, will play a crucial role in supporting students and families affected by various social and emotional challenges. As an LCSW, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic services to clients dealing with issues including neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health disorders, and parental substance abuse.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will engage with clients primarily through telehealth sessions, although the role may require in-person appointments as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients, gathering vital information to inform treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention to clients in distress, employing effective strategies to stabilize situations.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records of client interactions and progress towards treatment goals.

• Participate in ongoing training and supervision to stay current with best practices and enhance your clinical skills.

• Monitor and identify signs of child abuse, ensuring immediate and appropriate responses as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is working with students and families confronting numerous social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, particularly those associated with youth mental health. Many of the clients you serve may have experienced trauma or instability at home and will require a sensitive and knowledgeable approach to therapy. Your work will directly contribute to improving the mental health and overall quality of life for children and adolescents.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Must hold a valid LCSW license to practice in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working as a social worker, preferably with youth.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain organization and manage a diverse caseload effectively.

• Competency in recognizing age-related or specialty issues pertinent to the populations served.

Preferred Experience\n

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred and will be an asset in effectively reaching a broader client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
