Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students ages 3–21 in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, on-site occupational therapy contract runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, and provides the chance to collaborate across a thoughtfully assigned zone of 6–7 schools within the Houston area. You'll make a positive impact with a focus on both direct and consultative services, ensuring a manageable caseload and a home base at the district office.

Candidates with significant school or pediatric experience—including highly skilled COTAs—are encouraged to apply. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must as you provide treatment, conduct evaluations, and attend ARDs.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Current and active Texas OT license
• State fingerprinting and background check required (can leverage existing fingerprints in the state system)
• Pediatric/school-based OT experience strongly preferred
• Ability to manage both consult and treatment caseloads of approximately 70 students (with about 30–40 requiring direct services)
• Familiarity with SHARES school health software, Onward, and maintaining IEP logs in Excel
• Willingness to travel between assigned schools in a defined zone based on your ZIP code
• Strong documentation, evaluation, and ARD attendance skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct OT services and consultative support to students across assigned schools
• Perform evaluations and lead IEP documentation and updates
• Participate in ARDs and collaborate with educational teams
• Use district software platforms for therapy documentation and reporting
