Overview Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses is a family‑owned furniture company with nearly 100 years of experience. We offer a guaranteed hourly wage plus a commission incentive program. Full‑time sales professionals can earn $70,000 to $100,000 per year. Each new hire completes an in‑depth paid training program to prepare them for providing an unparalleled shopping experience. Schedule: 5‑day work week including Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Responsibilities Exceed customer expectations by providing outstanding customer service and knowledge of our products and services. Greet customers in a timely, friendly, non‑pressured and professional manner. Focus on daily, weekly and monthly goals set by sales managers. Attend, participate and contribute to company meetings and training sessions to improve performance and enhance knowledge and skills. Act as an ambassador for Cardi’s Furniture, implementing creative ideas for additional business by networking, prospecting, including the use of social media. Contribute to an upbeat, positive work environment. Enter all sales orders in the system correctly and review with customers 100% of the time for completeness and accuracy. Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management. Requirements Ability to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Interior design or sales experience/knowledge a plus but not required. Physically able to be on your feet and move throughout the showroom over an 8‑12 hour work day. Ability to maintain emotional composure in a professional business setting with customers, peers and management. Strong work ethic and dependability a must. General computer proficiency. Professional dress required. Work Environment / Physical Requirements The role is performed in a store environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies and fax machines. Use of a personal cell phone for customer contact and follow‑up and a personal computer tablet for room sketching is also required. The employee regularly views, sees, manipulates and handles product to demonstrate to customers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee continuously walks or stands on the showroom floor, standing for extended periods.
