Defend Freedom®, is accomplished by serving customers and providing top-quality solutions to our military, law enforcement, and civilian customers seeking premium firearms for home defense, hunting, and sport shooting.As a Shipping and Receiving 1, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below, processing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring proper handling of all materials and serialized products.Essential Functions:Receive and unpack materials and supplies; report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.Count all parts in; adjust shipping tickets to reflect quantities received.Bag and label all parts (part number, item description, quantity, and lot number); perform lot separation.Deliver bagged parts to inventory; deliver all other parts and packages to employee listed on PO.Prepare labels for shipping via UPS, FedEx, or other means of transportation; match serial number on label to number on the box.Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.Record shipment data including weight, charges, and space availability; complete shipping and receiving reports.Communicate with carrier representatives to make arrangements for shipments and deliveries.Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.Participates in the company's efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environmentOther responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 0–1 years of prior working experience in a warehouse/shipping and receiving environment or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.Teamwork and the ability to cooperate and work proactively with others is a must.Must be able to manage time efficiently.Great attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under deadlines and pressure.Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).Demonstrated ability to recognize and work in accordance with our Company Values.It is understood employees may be assigned to other departments, functional groups, and/or shifts as deemed necessary by management.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the work day.Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.Daniel Defense is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status, and promotes a Drug-Free Workplace.Note: The statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by those assigned to the job.
