Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate

Overview The practice focuses on management-side labor and employment, representing employers throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest, specifically within the Employment Litigation team. Work involves defending employers in employment-related disputes covering discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour claims. Experience counseling employers on workplace policies, compliance, and day-to-day employment issues is beneficial. Responsibilities include managing employment litigation matters through multiple stages of a case, drafting pleadings, written discovery, substantive and dispositive motions, and other litigation filings. The role also involves preparing responses and position statements for administrative agency proceedings, conducting legal research, developing persuasive written advocacy, and collaborating with colleagues and clients to evaluate risk and develop practical solutions. Candidates must be comfortable managing multiple matters and competing deadlines, exercising sound judgment and attention to detail, and working both independently and collaboratively within the litigation team.
