POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Assistant provides day-to-day support for the Bank's marketing initiatives through administrative and Marketing-related tasks. The Marketing Assistant's responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with the production of high-quality marketing collaterals and graphics for internal and external use, editing photos and videos, writing copy, and project work.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide administrative support for a variety of marketing projects.
• Perform daily administrative tasks to support department operations.
• Assist in the production and distribution of marketing materials.
• Create detailed and visually appealing collaterals in accordance with the Southern First brand standards.
• Assist in the creation of content for social media channels.
• Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is required.
• Excellent working knowledge of Windows including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with social media and marketing platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Canva.
• Basic photography, video editing, and graphic design skills.
• Adept in clear and concise copywriting, editing, and proofreading.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and professionalism to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with clients and other team members.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a high degree of integrity.

WORK CONDITIONS

• This position may occasionally require the ability to attend networking events after hours.
• This position must be able to sit for long periods of time as the position involves most of the time spent at a computer.
• This position requires little to no travel.
