Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. This role requires a strong foundation in rehabilitation nursing and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Number of Beds: 16

Number of Staff: 20

Documentation System: EMR - Meditech

Patient Experience Requirements: Knowledge of rehab documentation is preferred.

Type of Staff:

• Day Shift: 1 Charge RN and 1-2 other RNs
• Night Shift: 1 Point person and 1-2 other RNs
• 1 LPN each shift if full at 15/16 patients
• 1 PCT each shift if full at 15/16 patients

Floating Policy: Will float to any medical floor as needed.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
• Basic Dysthymia class is a plus.
• Preferred CRRN certification.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a nursing role, specifically in a rehabilitation or medical-surgical setting.

Provide nursing care for patients post-stroke, surgical patients (neurological or orthopedic), and medical patients requiring further therapy.

Maintain high standards of patient documentation and communication with the healthcare team.

Engage in continuous learning and application of rehabilitation practices.

This position requires working three 12-hour shifts, rotating every third weekend.

Required uniform includes royal blue tops and bottoms, with the option of black scrub bottoms.

The Inpatient Rehab Unit has received the Unit of Distinction Award for 2021.

The average years of experience for staff in the unit is around 20 years, ensuring a wealth of expertise and mentorship.
