As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Butner, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to deliver professional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Fri: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Sat: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities within a correctional setting. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access and movement through designated entry points, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations. Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol activities, incidents, observations, and communications with site personnel and emergency responders. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
