Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in Southfield, MI, to join their team of legal professionals. The role involves handling significant cases across various practice areas, including Personal Injury and Civil Rights, representing clients both locally and nationally. Duties Draft, review, and manage legal documents and pleadings. Manage cases strategically and represent clients in court across various jurisdictions. Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation. Conduct and respond to discovery processes with precision. Collaborate with senior attorneys to refine litigation strategies. Requirements Licensed to practice law in Michigan and in good standing with the Michigan State Bar. Previous trial experience; Moot Court and/or Law Review experience preferred. Strong background in civil litigation. Ability to handle a diverse caseload with resilience. Exceptional research, analytical, and communication skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Michigan.
