Work Environment\n

This role is predominantly remote, utilizing a telehealth model that allows you to work effectively with clients from the comfort of their homes. By leveraging technology, you will conduct therapy sessions and mental health assessments through secure virtual platforms. You will have the flexibility to maintain a work-life balance while still making a significant impact on the lives of your young clients. Please note that the position requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the unique needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider developmental stages, family dynamics, and specific mental health challenges.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns.

• Deliver family therapy to support parents and caregivers in fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for their children.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to treatment.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower them.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Stay updated on current research, best practices, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry and therapy methodologies.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license to practice as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Solid understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Previous experience delivering individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience working in a mental health setting with children and adolescents.

• Experience in conducting remote therapy sessions and familiarity with telehealth protocols is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
