Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: South Carolina or Compact Nursing License Certifications: BLS, radiation badge needed Must-Have: SC or Compact RN License BLS Certification Clienttion badge Description: Position/Specialty: Ambulatory Operating Room Registered Nurse. Shift: Manager will accept 3x12s (06:30 - 19:00) or 4x10s (06:30 - 17:00). One late week per 4 weeks to complete cases. No weekend requirements. On-call is not required. There is a possibility of floating within the Perioperative facility. Open to accommodating block scheduling per manager's discretion. Experience preferred in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, and Surgical Oncology. First-timers are not accepted. Local candidates are accepted within a 60-mile radius. Guaranteed hours: Traveler may be called off 10 hours per 2-week period. May be required to precept a care team member in the operating room. During hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September. Required skills include various surgical procedures such as hysterectomies, laparoscopic surgeries, and appendectomies. Unit details: Staffing and scheduling will be based on the needs of the department. There is interdisciplinary support from various services. Special procedures and technologies are utilized in the operating rooms. No weekend or major holiday shifts are required. Special equipment includes lasers and video towers used in various surgical procedures. The patient population includes adults with diverse surgical needs. Patient diagnoses include total joint replacements, surgical oncology, and minimally invasive surgeries. Additional equipment and procedures are utilized based on the specific surgical services provided.
