Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Flex Well Recovery, you will work in a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes transparency and teamwork. This onsite position allows for direct interaction with patients within their home settings, reinforcing a personalized approach to therapy. You will have the opportunity to set your own schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Our typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and challenges, leading to the creation of individualized treatment plans that cater to their specific therapeutic needs.
• Deliver expert physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various modalities that facilitate recovery and improve mobility.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, utilizing evidence-based measures to adjust treatment plans effectively, ensuring optimal outcomes are achieved.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to offer holistic care that addresses all aspects of patient health.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies for injury prevention to foster greater independence.
• Implement tailored fall prevention strategies and safety protocols that protect our clients in their living environments, significantly reducing the risk of accidents.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices through continuing education and professional development opportunities, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards within all interactions, rigorously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric community, delivering compassionate care to individuals who may face mobility challenges, chronic pain conditions, or post-operative rehabilitation needs. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; advanced degrees (Doctorate/Master's) are encouraged.
• Must hold an active state license as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation systems relevant to the field of physical therapy.
• In-depth understanding of evidence-based practices, alongside the ability to employ the latest therapeutic techniques to enhance patient care.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team setting.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience in geriatric therapy is preferred, we welcome applications from new graduates who demonstrate a strong desire to work with older adults.

Compensation and Benefits

Flex Well Recovery offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
