If shaping profitable, timely, and competitive proposals energizes you, this role puts you at the center of our shop operations. You will collaborate with accounting and operations to meet customer standards and commitments, and you will work shoulder to shoulder with machinists, welders, inspectors, engineers, and leadership to deliver precise estimates and schedules.

What you will take on

• Review customer RFQs, work scopes, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare detailed estimates for labor, machining, welding, balancing, coating, and materials
• Develop quotations for repairs on steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, gearboxes, and auxiliary equipment
• Forecast turnaround time by evaluating shop capacity and workload
• Create formal quotes and proposal packages for customers

Shop coordination and flow

• Confirm manpower and machine availability with operations before commitments are made
• Track approved work from quote acceptance through production release
• Issue revised estimates and support change orders when additional damage is discovered
• Partner with purchasing to obtain material and subcontractor pricing

Project billing and portals

• Execute accurate job cost billing for fixed price milestones and for Time and Materials jobs
• Upload invoices and supporting documents to client procurement and PO portals including Ariba, Coupa, and Textura

Data stewardship and improvement

• Maintain tidy, accurate electronic and paper files for contracts, estimates, and financial records
• Manage historical cost databases and repair records to inform future quotes
• Continuously improve estimating accuracy and profitability
• Contribute to standardizing repair pricing templates and processes

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical degree or trade background preferred
• Strong math and costing fundamentals
• Proficiency with Excel and Word
