Shift: 12-Hour Nights (12H Nights)

Hours/Week: 36-40 hours

Employment Type: Contract, Travel

Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care; first-time travelers must meet experience requirements

Patient Types: AFIB/RVR, DKA, HTN, COPD, ARF, post-heart cath, stroke, spinal surgeries (ACDF, Laminectomy)

Patient Ratios: RN: 1:3, CNA: 1:7

Hourly Pay Rate: $50.25/hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct patient care for acute conditions such as AFIB, DKA, HTN, COPD, ARF, stroke, and post-op spinal surgeries
• Monitor and titrate medications including Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, and Levophed (with manager approval for titratable gtts)
• Manage clinical procedures like chest tubes, traches, peritoneal dialysis, CSF drains, and more (preferred but not required)
• Conduct and pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff, hospitalists, and specialists
• Document patient status accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR
• Participate in orientation and interpret unit protocols

What You Need:

Required:

• Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience
• Strong critical thinking and clinical skills in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Experience with titratable medications, chest tube management, trach care, dialysis, and CSF drains
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Flexibility to work night shifts and weekend rotations
