• Licensure: Active RN license required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience, preferably in MedSurg or Stepdown units

Pay & Benefits

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU with a variety of medical conditions
• Monitor cardiac patients via telemetry, print and review strips regularly
• Manage medications, titratable drips, chest tubes, trachs, and other invasive devices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including RT, hospitalists, OT, PT, and ST
• Support patient safety and comfort, following hospital protocols and standards
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Assist with patient admission, discharge, and ongoing assessments

What You Need

• Required:
  • Active RN license in Louisiana or eligible to transfer
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
  • 2+ years recent RN experience in an acute care setting
  • Ability to pass an EKG competency exam before start
• Preferred:
  • Experience with titratable IVs (Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed)
  • Skills with chest tube management, tracheostomy care, peritoneal dialysis, CSF drains

About the Assignment
This role is based in a progressive, patient-focused unit that handles stepdown overflow, cardiac monitoring, and various medical-surgical cases. The unit features a collaborative team environment, advanced telemetry monitoring, and supportive staff committed to excellence in patient care. You will receive full orientation, and support staff including RT, hospitalists, and in-house therapy teams will be available to assist you during your shift.
