What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a PCU environment with an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:3.
• Manage patient needs including CVA, TIA, diabetes, arterial lines, Foley catheters, and tube feedings.
• Perform drip titrations such as Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin.
• Support patient safety and recovery in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Document patient progress accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR.
• Participate in unit activities including patient assessments, medication administration, and care planning.
• Float between step-down and medical/surgical units as needed, maintaining flexibility and professionalism.

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Experience managing CVA/TIA patients, drips, and arterial lines
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR
• Prior travel or acute care experience on a similar unit
• Strong skills in patient assessment and clinical procedures
