Construction Superintendent

About the Job As a Superintendent, you will lead the day-to-day operations on the jobsite, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll serve as the on-site leader, coordinating teams, solving problems, and driving progress from groundbreaking to completion. What You Will Do Lead and supervise all phases of construction from start to finish Coordinate and manage subcontractors, schedules, and daily site activities Drive project timelines and maintain short-term and long-term schedules Champion and enforce a strong safety culture on every jobsite Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and owners to ensure alignment and resolve issues Maintain accurate daily reports, progress photos, and documentation in Procore Identify, document, and track project deficiencies through completion Ensure all work meets contract documents and quality control standards (3-phase QC process) Manage material procurement, delivery, and on-site logistics Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and participate in owner/consultant meetings Proactively communicate RFIs, changes, and potential risks Support and mentor junior Superintendents as needed What You Bring To The Table 5+ years of commercial construction experience (required) Experience in K-12, higher education, and/or healthcare projects (preferred) Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage teams and drive accountability Working knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and safety standards Proficiency with construction management software (Procore experience preferred) OSHA 30 certification (preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field (preferred) Experience with Job Order Contracting (a plus) Why Join Jamail & Smith?
