Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients to assess their mental health needs and identify appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop customized treatment plans tailored to individual patient circumstances, focusing on trauma recovery and emotional management.

• Engage with patients through regular counseling sessions aimed at providing emotional support, facilitating discussions on coping mechanisms, and encouraging positive behavior change.

• Monitor patients’ progress throughout their treatment journey and make necessary adjustments to care plans based on their evolving needs.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, community resources, and other professionals to coordinate holistic care for patients, ensuring the availability of essential external services.

• Educate both patients and clinic staff about effective coping strategies for managing stress and trauma, fostering a proactive approach to mental health.

• Stay current with best practices in mental health care through ongoing professional development and mandatory continuing education to maintain your LPCC certification.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with trauma injury patients who may be dealing with complex mental health issues stemming from their traumatic experiences. This may include individuals recovering from accidents, abuse, or other significant emotional distress. You will play a critical role in helping them navigate their challenges and rebuild their lives through structured treatment and compassionate support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current and valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential.

• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience working with trauma patients in a clinical setting.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and adept in EMR systems.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
