Work Environment

This position operates onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center located in Arlington, Texas. The working hours are structured from Monday to Friday, a total of 40 hours per week, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic with no weekend shifts. In this role, you will collaborate closely with orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced practitioner care to orthopaedic patients under the guidance of supervising physicians. Care includes conducting thorough assessments, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications tailored to individual patient needs.
• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations by examining patient histories, interpreting radiology reports, and ordering necessary diagnostic tests.
• Engage in direct patient care activities such as assisting in surgical procedures, conducting follow-up consultations, and devising post-operative care strategies.
• Effectively manage the continuum of care for orthopaedic patients, facilitating their journey through inpatient and outpatient settings, including urgent consultations and therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients experiencing a variety of musculoskeletal disorders, ranging from acute injuries to chronic conditions. Our diverse patient population includes individuals from all walks of life, emphasizing our commitment to inclusive care practices that honor the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) and national certification as a Physician Assistant.
• DEA certification must be obtained within three months of hire.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a PA, with dedicated experience in orthopaedic specialty care.

Preferred Experience

• Recent clinical experience in performing orthopaedic procedures, including wound care management.
• Experience in handling urgent referrals and managing complex patient needs effectively.
• Ability to learn and assist in operative procedures under the supervision of attending orthopaedic surgeons.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with performance-based bonuses.
