Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history reviews, to identify health issues accurately.
• Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to facilitate timely diagnosis.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for acute illnesses, ensuring to address both immediate and long-term health considerations.
• Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring patient responses to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous records of all patient interactions and treatments, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitating seamless patient care continuity.
• Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management strategies for chronic conditions.
• Engage proactively in continuing education and professional development opportunities to remain abreast of the latest medically relevant information and skills.
• Promote a culture of health and wellness within the community by participating in outreach initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse patient population, ranging from children to adults, many of whom seek care for urgent conditions that arise suddenly and require immediate attention. Your ability to provide compassionate care and effectively communicate with patients from various backgrounds will be crucial to fostering trust and ensuring compliance with treatment regimens.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• A valid certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and an active California State license.
• A DEA number is required to prescribe medications.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar field.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with healthcare providers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a surgical or outpatient clinic setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
