IT Account Manager

Techworks Consulting, an award-winning MSP recognized as one of the best places to work on Long Island, is seeking a Technical Account Manager to serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner for assigned client accounts. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll bridge business needs and technical delivery, helping clients get maximum value from their IT environments while ensuring alignment with internal service and engineering teams. This is an in-person role based in Ronkonkoma, NY. What You’ll Get Salary range: $75,000-$85,000 Strong company culture grounded in clear values and teamwork Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Exposure to a wide range of SMB environments and technologies What You’ll Do Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned client accounts Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders Understand client business goals and align IT services and solutions accordingly Lead regular check-ins, QBRs, and strategic planning conversations Coordinate with service desk, engineering, and project teams to ensure timely resolution and delivery Translate technical issues and solutions into clear, business-friendly communication Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within client environments Recommend improvements, upgrades, and additional services to enhance client outcomes and value What You Bring 2+ years of experience as a Technical Account Manager, Account Manager, or similar client-facing IT role MSP or IT services experience strongly preferred Solid understanding of SMB IT environments and common technologies Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and stakeholders effectively Comfort identifying opportunities for account growth and solution alignment Willingness to participate in occasional after-hours support during critical incidents or project needs Why This Role Stands Out You’ll act as a true advisor, not just a point of escalation High visibility with both clients and internal leadership Opportunity to directly influence client satisfaction, retention, and growth Exposure to a variety of environments and real business impact work #J-18808-Ljbffr
